Anna Shahinian scored 25 points as the Pasadena City College women's basketball team romped over host West Los Angeles College, 102-40, Wednesday in Culver City. The defending state champion Lancers are 5-0 overall.

Hilton Garden Inn Classic Trophy Finally PCC's

When Hilton Garden Inn began sponsoring the season-opening tournament for the Pasadena City College women's basketball team in 2007, the Lancers figured it would quickly capture the championship title. It just took a longer than they expected as PCC finally won its tip-off tournament for the first time since 2006 behind a dominating 64-47 victory over Chaffey College Sunday afternoon.

Sellers Hits Jumper To Send Women's Cagers Over Cypress, 65-62

Sophomore center Cherisa Sellers drilled a turnaround jumper with 21 seconds left to break a 62-62 tie and send the Pasadena City College women's basketball team to a 65-62 semifinals win over Cypress College Saturday night on the second day of the Hilton Garden Inn Classic. All games at the PCC-hosted, season-opening tournament are played at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Banner Up, Defense Of State Title Starts With Win For Women's Basketball

After a 35-minute ceremony celebrating the Pasadena City College women's basketball state championship for 2008-2009, the defending champion Lancers went back to work Friday night as the 2009-2010 season kicked off with a 76-65 victory over LA Valley in the first round of the Hilton Garden Inn Classic at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Since it opened in 1999, Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium hasn't been draped with a signature item, something that signifies success in Lancers athletics. That all changes Friday night when the Pasadena City College women's basketball team raises its first state championship banner in a ceremony prior to the Lancers season-opening game.

After guiding the 2008-2009 women's basketball team to the first state championship in Pasadena City College women's sports history, head coach Joe Peron was selected as the South Coast Conference Women's Coach of the Year.
