The college-wide strategic directions and annual goals are extracted from area plans. The college's Strategic Planning Team convenes each year and develops the college-wide strategic directions and annual goals. It has a subcommittee-the Goals Subcommittee-that drafts the college goals by using the area plans, developed in that same year, to modify and update the college-wide strategic directions and annual goals created the previous year. The Strategic Planning Team finalizes the college-wide goals by reviewing the area plans and the prior years college-wide goals, and then modifying the draft of the annual goals prepared by the Goals Subcommittee. Thus, while the college-wide goals are reviewed and updated annually based upon area goals, they remain very stable, evolving only slowly over time.
