Risser Outstanding Teacher Award

Pasadena City College's highest honors, the Risser Awards, are given annually to a faculty member and to a non-teaching staff member, in recognition of their outstanding efforts on behalf of students.

To motivate and reward quality teaching at Pasadena City College, the "Outstanding Teacher Award", accompanied by $1000, is made annually. The award is given for quality of instruction, inspiration to students, fair, understandable evaluation and grading, and loyalty to the college and the United States.
