In order to continue your collegiate athletic career after you've transferred from PCC, you must meet certain academic requirements. These requirements vary for each NCAA division. You can discuss how to meet these requirements with one of our academic counselors. Featured below are the requirement summaries for the various NCAA athletic divisions.

Division I Schools

Transfer Requirements (for non-qualifiers)

  • AA/AS Degree (60 units, 18 in a major)
  • 6 units of transferrable English (1A and 1B)
  • 3 units of transferrable math (math 3, 7A, Stat 18/50, etc…)
  • Transferrable science with lab
  • Overall transferrable 2.5 GPA
  • Average 12 transferrable units per full-time semester
  • PE Units should be limited, speak with a counselor for more information.

40/60/80 Rule – Transferring to a D-I school

  • After two years at a community college, you must have completed 40% of your bachelor’s degree.
  • After three years at a community college, you must have completed 60% of your bachelor’s degree.
  • After four years at a community college, you must have completed 80% of your bachelor’s degree.

Division II

Transfer Requirements (for non-qualifiers)

  • AA/AS Degree (60 units, 18 in a major) or average 12 transferable units per full-time semester
  • 6 units of transferable English (If not graduating)
  • 3 units of transferable math (math 3, 7A, Stat 18/50, etc…) (If not graduating)
  • Transferrable science with lab
  • Overall transferrable 2.0 GPA

Division III

Transfer Requirements

  • Must be academically/athletically eligible when leaving the two-year school and be accepted to the D-III institution
