Withdrawing from College
Students finding it necessary to withdraw from the college should go
to the Registration Office to obtain specific information on the procedure.
Withdrawals according to the regulations of the college and clearance
of all obligations will provide the student with a withdrawal in good
standing. This clearance includes payment of funds owed to the college
such as library fines and breakage fees, as well as the return of locker
keys. Failure to follow these regulations may endanger the student’s
scholastic record and thus the privilege of re-enrolling at Pasadena City
College or of transferring to another college or university. If a student
is dropped from all classes through voluntary drops or faculty initiated
drops, a college withdrawal is recorded.
The final date for completely withdrawing from the college is
Friday of the 12th week of the fall or spring semester for 16 week classes.
Classes less than 16 weeks have proportionate deadlines. A grade
of W is recorded for all courses in which the student is enrolled at the
time of withdrawal.
