Spectrum is a group exhibition of selected photography by Jaklin Romine, Laura Russell and Vilea Sherman. Romine’s portion consists of fifteen-to-twenty black and white experimental photographs with a noir sensibility. The play of light and shadows dominates her work. Russell’s images are both black and white and color photographs of portraits and still life. The portraits reveal unarticulated aspects of her subject’s personalities, while other pieces reflect the mood of inanimate household objects. Sherman’s part comprises approximately twenty photographs that reveal a high regard for colorful desert landscapes and lighthearted, clear portraits of friends.

Exhibition Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday 11 a.m.-6 p.m., or by appointment. For further information, please contact the gallery at (626) 585-7412. http://www.pasadena.edu/artgallery.
