"Tomorrow Today," PCC student art at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, 490 East Union Street, Pasadena, CA 91101
Each year, the Division of Visual Arts and Media Studies invites distinguished art professionals to select and install an exhibition based on an open call for recent student work in all media. They also award cash prizes to a few selected artists.
This year, for the first time, this exhibition of student work will be held off campus, at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, offering students a rare opportunity to see their work exhibited in a museum. The jurors will be drawn from the PMCA staff, including PMCA Executive Director Jenkins Shannon, Exhibition Manager Shirlae Cheng-Lifshin, Gallery Manager Emmett Clements and Exhibition Designer Sergio Gomez.
An opening reception will be held at the museum the evening of March 11. The exhibition will be on view March 11 - 20, and will reopen April 4 - 24. The museum is offering free admission to PCC staff and students with an ID card; there will be an admission charge for other visitors. Admission is good for all exhibits at the museum.
