Statement by the Artists
Fusion : mind body spirit
Mind, body, spirit. The three corporeal elements that make art possible. They are the trinity of creation and the agents of perception. Encompassing the physical, the metaphysical, and everything in between, these elements are the source and destination of art. This show explores the connection between these very human characteristics and their relevancy to art. By channeling emotive energies found within the spirit, fusing them with our conscious ideas in the mind, and exploring how the inner creative spirit exerts itself onto the outer world through our bodies, we come to learn more about art and ourselves. Fusion is the result of deliberations between these three entities, producing a visual communication of abstract ideas and emotions. The physical representations, the actual artwork, are extentions of these elements. What is shown in the gallery is all three characteristics fused together in their physical form for all to see.
