Sports in the NewsBlasco Powers Women's VB Past Antelope Valley
For the third consecutive match, freshman outside hitter Patti Blasco totaled double figures in kills as the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team swept host Antelope Valley College, 26-24, 25-12, 25-14, in a non-conference match Wednesday night. Blasco spiked 13 kills and was errorless on attacks, hitting .619 in 21 attempts. Blasco (pictured) added 5 digs and 2 aces. She now has 35 kills in the Lancers' three matches. Pasadena improved to 2-1 while Antelope Valley opened its season at 0-1. PCC next travels to face Victor Valley College Wednesday, Sept. 9 in a 5 p.m. non-conference match.
