Men's Soccer Earns Tie To Snap 9-Game Losing Streak image

The Pasadena City College men's soccer team put an end to its school-record, 9-match losing streak by tying East Los Angeles, 2-2, Tuesday in a South Coast Conference match at PCC's Robinson Stadium.

The Lancers have not won since the second round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs last year, a win over Los Angeles Harbor College.

PCC is 0-9-1 overall and now 0-2-1 in the SCC.

Trailing 1-0, Pasadena tied it on Gor Kirakosyan's team-leading fourth goal on an assist from Lazaro Zuniga in the 19th minute. PCC took a 2-1 lead eight minutes into the second half when Devin Mix headed in a cross pass from Haik Sargsyan. ELAC would tie it in the 58th minute on a goal by Diego Martinez.

PCC goalie Iran Rodriguez made 9 saves.

The Lancers will play at Mt. San Antonio College Friday, October 9 in a 2 p.m. SCC match.
