PCC Searching To Hire New Coaches For Soccer Teams

Pasadena City College is looking for two new part-time head coaches for their Fall, 2010 men's and women's intercollegiate soccer teams.

PCC Athletic Director/Dean of Kinesiology, Health & Athletics Beverly Tate announced that those desiring to apply for the two open soccer coaching positions should have a master's degree and soccer coaching experience. Tate indicated that potential candidates with adjunct or part–time teaching experience are preferred.

The college has decided to split the coaching positions for men and women, rather than have them be coached by the same person as has been the case in previous years. The PCC soccer season runs from late August through November (playoffs go into early December).

"We want to reinvigorate both programs by improving our soccer student-athletes' academic and athletic success," Dean Tate said. "We are looking for two individuals with energy and passion for the game. They should want their respective programs to grow and achieve their potential by building toward producing winning teams."

Candidates can send their resumes to Dean Tate at the following e-mail: batate@pasadena.edu
