Sophomores Marissa Rangel, Amber Frame and Lupita Contreras were honored by coaches as members of the 2010 All-South Coast Conference Second Team.

Rangel has the distinction of being named All-SCC twice in two different PCC sports. Rangel was the team's only all-conference selection (second team) in softball in 2009, and she was a two-time, All-SCC First Team choice as a libero on the women's volleyball team in 2008-2009.

As the team's starting centerfielder, Rangel batted a team-best .351 in conference play and led the Lancers in batting overall with a .368 mark in 36 games played. Rangel, who attended California High in Whittier, topped PCC players in hits (46) and runs scored (21). She added 10 outfield assists as one of the top fielding arms in the conference.

Contreras hit .340 in conference games and was right behind Rangel overall at a .360 clip, playing in all 37 of the Lancers' games. As the team's starting second baseman, Contreras (Duarte High) added 15 RBI and was tied for the team lead in doubles with 9.

Amber Frame, like her teammates a two-year, starting letterman, was selected at utility player as a third baseman and pitcher. Frame, a graduate of Baldwin Park High, batted .302 in conference action and led the SCC in walks drawn with 16. Overall, Frame hit .337 and led PCC in on-base percentage (.472), slugging percentage (.475), RBI (18), walks (26). She was tied for team highs in doubles (9), stolen bases (7, along with Rangel), and home runs (1).

The trio was guided for both seasons at PCC by head coach Elaine Martinez.

Pasadena hasn't had an All-SCC First Team selection since Lauren Meza was chosen at designated player in 2008.
