For the first time since the final game of the 2005 season, the Pasadena City College football team was limited to less than 10 points as Saddleback dominated the Lancers, 37-7, Saturday night at Robinson Stadium.

The Lancers lost their third straight game and second in a row in National Southern Conference play to fall to 4-3 overall and 0-2. Ranked No. 3 in the state regional poll, Saddleback is 6-1 and 3-0 in the NSC.

PCC had scored more than 10 points in each of its last 47 games, dating back to a 17-0 loss to Riverside in its '05 finale. Saddleback has won four straight meetings between the two teams.

Pasadena jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a 43-yard touchdown aerial from quarterback Caleb Fore to top wide receiver Michael Harrison just 3:15 into the game. That was the Lancers last hurrah as Saddleback would score 37 unanswered points, including two Gauchos' touchdowns in a 2:03 span during the second quarter.

Chris Pierce's 18-yard TD run gave the Gauchos a 14-7 lead. Kicker Michael Frisina would go on to hit field goals of 39, 27, and 40 yards. A 50-yard interception return for a touchdown by Timmy Smith iced Saddleback's rout with 4:37 left in the game.

Harrison caught six receptions for 75 yards and rushed for an additonal 11 yards in two carries.  Fore led the Lancers' running attack with 60 yards in 14 carries and he completed 12 of 20 passes for just 130 yards. Running back Ron Spears added 28 yards in seven carries and four kick returns for 85 yards. Running back Danny Robinson contributed 35 yards in five carries.

Defensively, PCC linebacker Kimball Niumatalolo was all over the field in making 15 tackles while safety Omar Smith had 13 tackles and broke up his team-leading 11th pass. Defensive end Charles Tua'au added his fifth sack and four tackles.

Lefty Lancers quarterback Tommy Coughlin completed 5-for-11 for 42 yards late in the game.

Next week, PCC plays its homecoming game (final home regular season contest) against Palomar College. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Robinson Stadium.
