Women's Basketball Playoff Wednesday, Mar. 2 Is 5:30 PM Tip-Off At Mt. SAC

The Southern California Regional Round 3 women's basketball playoff game between visiting Pasadena City College and Mt. San Antonio College will begin at 5:30 p.m. as part of a women/men postseason doubleheader at the Walnut-located campus on Wednesday, Mar. 2.

The No. 6-seeded Lancers (24-5) play the No. 3-seed Mounties (27-3) prior to the Mt. SAC men's basketball game later that evening at 7:30 p.m.

If PCC defeats Mt. SAC, it would face the winner of the No. 7 College of the Canyons v. No. 2 San Bernardino Valley playoff on Saturday, Mar. 5 in Round 4. If SBVC wins, PCC will play on the road. If Canyons wins, PCC would play another home game Saturday as it is a higher seed than COC.

If the Lancers win the two playoff contests, they will advance to their eighth straight appearance in the CCCAA State Tournament, now a final four on Mar. 12-13 at Ventura College. The state semifinals are slated for 5 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 12. The state championship game takes place at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 13.
