Priscilla Lun, a member of the 2011 Pasadena City College women's badminton team, captured bronze medals in three different events at the 71st USA Badminton National Championships held at the Affinity Badminton Club in San Carlos on April 28.

Lun, who helped the Lancers to South Coast Conference team titles in 2009 and this past season, moved up to No. 6 in the national singles ratings. The Lancers' sophomore earned a bronze in women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. In women's doubles, she teamed with Irvine Valley College's Thuy Hoang to take third place overall.

A San Marino High product, Lun captured the San Diego Mesa Tournament singles title representing the Lancers on April 15. Lun won every singles match she ever played at PCC until her final appearance, ironically a 2-set loss to Hoang in the Southern California Regional team championship match that IVC won 11-10.

"Priscilla is an up-and-coming talent in national badminton," said PCC Head Coach Bill Sanchez. "We were a few points of making it to the team state championship match, which could have been a wonderful finish to Lun's PCC career. We were happy to have her play for us as she helped us re-establish Pasadena as a premier badminton school."
