Sports in the NewsMeet The 2011-2012 PCC Hoops Teams: "Night of Madness," Thursday, Oct. 13
The Pasadena City College 2011-2012 men's and women's basketball teams will be on public display for the first time Thursday, October 13 as the two programs hold a "Night of Madness." Free admission to the event also includes a free t-shirt for the first 150 fans in attendance. Besides getting a first look at the Lancers, fans can have access to giveaways, including free food. They will be entertained with a slam dunk contest, a 3-point shooting contest, and music played by a guest DJ. The "Night of Madness" takes place between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. at the Lancers' on-campus, home arena--Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. PCC women's head coach Joe Peron and men's head coach Michael Swanegan will introduce their teams at the event. The Lancers' women begin the 2011-12 season by hosting the Veteran's Day Classic on Nov. 11-13. The men will open up on the road at the Ventura Tournament Nov. 10-12. The PCC men's team plays its home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 15 against Southwestern College (6 p.m. tip-off). [Photo--Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium is the site for this Thursday's "Night of Madness."
