Sophomore guard Stella Ghazarian showed the form Friday night that made her an All-South Coast Conference Second Team selection last season. Ghazarian converted 8-for-12 shots from the field, including drilling five 3-point bombs as part of her season-high 24 points in leading the Pasadena City College women's basketball team to an 80-49 road victory at Los Angeles Trade Tech.

The state No. 11-ranked Lancers have won five of their last six games and are 8-0 this season when limiting the opponent to less than 50 points. PCC improved to 14-5 overall and climbed back over the .500 mark in conference play at 4-3. Trade Tech dropped to 1-11 and 1-6.

PCC jumped out to a 14-4 lead and took an 18-point lead into halftime. For the second straight game, the Lancers never trailed.

Frosh center Kaitlyn Parks tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds while sophomore guard Kahlia Theus came off the bench for 11 points. Freshman forward Tyler Crockom added five points and 13 rebounds while sophomore point guard Shay Jackson totaled four points and nine assists. Sophomore guard Sabrina Martinez chipped in nine points and three steals.

For Trade Tech, Janay Wilson scored 19 points off the bench while Jerroniesha Green contributed 10 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals.

The Lancers will play seven of their next eight games at home on the newly resurfaced and repainted Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium floor. PCC hosts Cerritos, unranked in state, but 13th ranked in Southern California, on Wednesday, Jan. 23 in a 7 p.m. tip-off.
