Fresh off a 22-6 regular season and a third place finish in the South Coast Conference, the Pasadena City College women's basketball team received the No. 6 seed and will host No. 11 Irvine Valley in Round 2 of the Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Lancers and Lasers, from the Orange Empire Conference, will meet Saturday, March 2 in a 7 p.m. tip-off at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
Pasadena places its perfect playoff record at its home gym on the line at 18-0. PCC is 2-0 in its playoff history v. Irvine Valley.
