Sophomore Stephen To showed why he is a leading contender for state in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly events by winning both at the Chaffey Invitational held March 8-9 at Riverside City College.

To continued his personal 2013 duel with Mt. San Antonio's Bennett Yuan as he edged Yuan out in the 100-fly at 52.54 seconds to Yuan's 52.7. To rallied to win the 200-butterfly in 1:58.52. He was third at the halfway point and then pulled away from the field. To (pictured) also finished sixth in the 100-freestyle (50.34).

PCC placed sixth as a team at the Chaffey Invitational with 278.5 points.

The 400 medley relay of Michael Chiodo (backstroke), Darrin Smith (breaststroke), To (butterfly) and Willie Nintinthorn (freestyle) placed third with a time of 3:54.50. The unit placed fourth in the 200 medley (1:45.68).

Chiodo was fourth overall in the 100-backstroke (57.86) and took seventh in the 200-backstroke (2:11.36). Smith placed sixth in the 200-breaststroke (2:23.89). Nintithorn swam a personal best of 4:52.45 in placing 10th in the 400 individual medley.

Chris Anderson is starting to click as PCC's top diver in placing fifth on the 3-meter board (132.50 points) and ninth on the 1-meter (112.70).

On Friday, March 15, the Lancers return to South Coast Conference action and will travel to face El Camino College in a 2:30 p.m. dual meet.
