PCC Hoops Announcer Huisha Bush Lands LA Sparks Job
Huisha Bush, the long-time announcer for Pasadena City College women's and men's basketball games, is the new public address voice for the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. With more than 10,000 fans in attendance, Bush announced the Sparks' home-opening victory over Seattle on Sunday at the Staples Center.
Bush says since the Sparks' season does not conflict with the Lancers playing season that he plans on returning to the mic for PCC in the 2013-14 season.
A graduate of Pasadena High School and with a B.A. degree in mass media arts at Clark Atlanta University, Bush has also announced girls basketball games for many seasons at Duarte High.
Bush began announcing PCC women's games in 2001 and was the Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium home P.A. voice during the Lancers' 2009 state championship run.
