Pasadena City College All-State defensive end Dalyou Pierson accepted a scholarship to attend Iowa State University in the Big 12 Conference. Pierson led the SCFA in sacks with 11.5 as a sophomore in 2012 and was a two-time, All-National Northern Conference selection for the Lancers.

From Independence High in Bakersfield, the 6-foot-2, 260-pound Pierson developed into one of the state's top pass rushers in his two seasons. Pierson finished his Lancers career with 14 quarterback sacks and 28 total tackles for loss. He made 112 total tackles in his two seasons at PCC.

Pierson will play as an incoming junior for Cyclones head coach Paul Rhoads. He is one of two 2013 Lancers to join NCAA major university programs with PCC offensive lineman Miguel Machado landing at Michigan State.

Pierson is the first Lancer to commit to Iowa State since Emmanuel Valcourt in 2000. Pierson played under PCC head coach Fred Fimbres.
