PCC Spring Sports Schedules Released

Pasadena City College released its Spring sports schedules today for baseball, softball, women's badminton, men's and women's swimming and diving, and men's and women's track and field.

The Lancers softball team opens its home schedule on Thursday, Jan. 31 in a doubleheader v. Barstow College. Game one begins at 12 noon at PCC's home diamond--Robinson Park, located at 1081 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, a short drive from the main campus. The Lancers are coached by Brittany Williams in her second season in charge of the program.


The PCC baseball team will play its home opener on Friday, Feb. 1 v. Antelope Valley College in a 2 p.m. start at Jackie Robinson Memorial Field at Brookside Park, a short walk from the Rose Bowl. The head coach of the Lancers in his ninth season at PCC is Evan O'Meara.


PCC's swimming and diving teams open their home schedule on Friday, March 1 in a South Coast Conference double dual meet against Mt. San Antonio and Chaffey Colleges. Events begin at 12:30 p.m. at the PCC Aquatic Center. The Lancers later host the 13th Pasadena Invitational on April 5-6. Terry Stoddard is in his 14th season as aquatics head coach. 


The Lancers track and field teams can be seen on campus at the Pasadena Games on Friday-Saturday, March 22-23 at Robinson Stadium. The squads are directed by third-year head coach Larry Wade and assistant in charge of distance runners Armand Crespo.


PCC's four-time defending South Coast Conference champion women's badminton team plays its home opener on Wednesday, March 20 in a match v. El Camino College-Compton Center. Matches begin at 3 p.m. that afternoon at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. The Lancers will later host the CCCAA State Championships May 8-10. PCC head coach is Bill Sanchez, in his sixth season guiding the program.
