All-SCC First Team For Women's Soccer's Papac, Orozco
Pasadena City College women's soccer sophomore forward Amanda Papac and sophomore midfielder Cassandra Orozco were chosen to the 2013 All-South Coast Conference First Team at the season-ending soccer coaches meeting last week.
Papac (Arcadia High) led the Lancers in goals (eight) and points (18), and Orozco (Crescenta Valley High) added a goal and three assists while being a controlling influence in the PCC lineup.
Making the All-SCC Second Team from the Lancers were freshman defender Bailey Shaw (Monrovia High), considered the Lancers best defensive player, and sophomore midfielder Lizbeth Rodriguez (Sierra Vista HS), who excelled offensively with four goals and three assists.
Frosh goalie Angie Ulmer (South Pasadena High), who recorded a new low goals against average for a starting netminder in PCC history with a 1.04 mark, made 75 saves in her first season to earn a conference honorable menton.
The players were directed this season by first-year head coach Reggie Rivas.
