Project Office

Background

In 1987, the District saw the need to have someone who had extensive construction knowledge and the District’s interests in mind to oversee current and planned construction projects. A local contractor, Jack Schulman, was contacted to do this job.

In 1991, construction started on the first project of a 10-year Master Plan of construction. A team of 4 professionals was assembled to provide services in construction management.

MASTERPLAN 2000

In 2002 voters approved Measure “P”, a $150 million General Obligation Bond, allowing Master Plan 2010 to get underway.
