College Sponsorship Program

Description:

The College Sponsorship Program (CSP) is announcing a scholarship opportunity for Transfer CSP youth. Eligible recipients can receive up to up to $9,000 for college expenses plus 3 years of program components that consist of:


  • financial assistance to attend 4-year colleges/universities

  • regular contact and meetings with Education Program staff

  • support in post-graduation planning to help students secure their first job or entrance into graduate school

  • paid, career-oriented internships to explore chosen majors, apply skills and gain work experience


Scholarship Eligibility Requirements


  1. Must be a Los Angeles County current/former foster or probation youth age 23 or younger

  2. Student who is/was Independent Living Program (ILP) eligible

  3. Have a cumulative 2.8 GPA or above who plan to enroll at a four-year university in Fall 2013 or Spring 2014

  4. Committed to fulfilling the stated educational goal
