2014-15 Child Development Grant

The California Student Aid Commission (Commission) is pleased to announce that the 2014-15 Child Development Grant Program new and renewal applications are now available for downloading from our website.

The Child Development Grant Program is a renewable, need-based grant of up to $2,000 per year designed to encourage students to enter the field of child care and development in a licensed children’s center. Students who plan to enroll at least half-time in coursework leading to a Child Development Permit are eligible to apply and be nominated by the postsecondary institution they plan to attend. Students must commit to one year of full-time service in a licensed children’s center in California for each year they receive the grant.  Further details are available at
