Education Portal Computer Science and Computer Engineering Academic Award
Award Description

$1,000 awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Areas of study that will be considered include computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, database management, computer networking, computer programming and information technology management.

* Amount: $1,000
* Number of Awards: One per year
* Deadline: April 1st of each year

Focus

Applicants should be pursuing a degree in a Computer Science/Computer Engineering related program including:

* Computer Science (Associate Degree Level or Higher)
* Computer Engineering (Associate Degree Level or Higher)
* Computer Information Systems (Associate Degree Level or Higher)
* Software Engineering (Associate Degree Level or Higher)
* Information Technology Management (Associate Degree Level or Higher)
* Networking Technology (Associate Degree Level or Higher)
* Database Management (Associate Degree Level or Higher)
* Computer Programming (Associate Degree Level or Higher)

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on academic history and extracurricular activities. Degree level and financial need will not be considered.
Funds

The winner will be notified following the deadline and the award will be sent directly to the recipient by check to the permanent mailing address noted in the application.
Eligibility Criteria

* Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident
* Must be enrolled (or accepted) in an accredited college or university and planning on continuing the next year
* Must have a minimum of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours still to be completed
