Theatre Production F. Scott Fitzgerald's THE GREAT GATSBY

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s, The Great Gatsby, adapted for the stage by Simon Levy and directed by Suzanne Hunt Jenner, is a play about obsession, love, money and the American Dream. The story follows Jay Gatsby, a man who orders his life around one desire: to be reunited with Daisy Buchanan, the love he lost five years earlier. Gatsby's quest leads him from poverty to wealth and eventually to tragedy. Published in 1925, The Great Gatsby is a classic piece of American fiction and is heralded in the literary world as the Great American Novel is noted for the remarkable way Fitzgerald captured a cross-section of American society. In Fitzgerald's opulent, carefree Jazz Age, there lurks a materialistic center, making The Great Gatsby's sharp depiction of the American Dream resonate anew for each generation. Tickets are sold at the door only, beginning one hour prior to start time. Parking is available in any student lot for $2. Purchase permits in lot vending machines.
