What is Graduation Initiative?
Students qualifying for the Graduation Initiative will be granted an improved registration appointments for their last term. The status will work for one semester only. Students who have 3 or fewer courses to complete an Associate degree (AA/AS/AA-T/AS-T) and verified through the graduation petition process will gain Graduation Initiative status.
Graduation Initiative status may only be granted to students one time at PCC.
Once approved and you have signed a graduation petition for Graduation Initiative status, there is no reversal of your 1 time registration priority.
You qualify for Graduation Initiative if you can answer YES to ALL 4 statements:
- I will only need 1 or 2 or 3 classes to get one or more AA/AS/AA-T/AS-T degree/s.
- I completed less than 100 units (courses numbered 1-399) at PCC.
- I will file a graduation petition with Counseling (see below to learn how).
- I have never received Graduation Initiative priority.

What is the deadline to apply for Graduation Initiative status?
One week before your assigned registration date for Spring 2016.
How do I apply for Graduation Initiative?
If you have 1-3 classes left to complete AA/AS/AA-T/AS-T have and you have only attended PCC, submit an eGrad check request.
If you have 1-3 classes left to complete AA/AS/AA-T/AS-T and you have transcripts from other schools, make an appointment to see a counselor.
How will I know if I qualify?
Via eGrad - if you qualify, you will be invited to a 30 min workshop to sign a graduation petition and complete the process
Via appointment - if you qualify, you will sign a graduation petition and the counselor will forward your name for Graduation Initiative.
Once I sign my graduation petition for Graduation Initiative, how do I know if my registration date has changed?
After 3 business days, you may check your LancerPoint for your new registration date and time.
