Assessment skills regarding diet and training products and the impact of substance abuse. DANCE 8A BEGINNING COMPOSITION AND CHOREOGRAPHY 1.0
Introduction to the elements and basic principles of dance composition and choreography and their application to all styles of dance, including, but not limited to ballet, ethnic, jazz, modern and tap; exploration and experimentation through improvisation and problem solving with varied literal and nonliteral themes, differing forms, working methods and processes, musical forms and alternative accompaniments in order to design and create movement phrases and compositions for individual and group arrangements. DANCE 8B INTERMEDIATE COMPOSITION AND CHOREOGRAPHY 1.0

Continued exploration and application of compositional elements in designing and creating movement phrases and compositions of greater length and complexity with emphasis on technique and presentation; experimentation with self-constructed/designed accompaniment of nontraditional style including sounds, silence, voice, words and phrases. DANCE 25 MOVEMENT FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT 2.0
Creative, noncompetitive movement activities, including perceptual-motor, dance and rhythmic experiences intended to promote fundamental skills. Focus on the whole child within a multicultural and non-biased program, enhancing physical, cognitive, conceptual, social and emotional development through exploration and problem solving challenges designed for individuals and groups. Emphasis on developing skills to assess and adapt activities for individual needs and stages, planning and conducting developmentally appropriate experiences, assessing and selecting materials, spaces and equipment for safe and active learning.
