News: Dental Hygiene Applications Deadline Extended to April 1 at PCC
Pasadena City College’s Dental Hygiene program is now accepting applications through April 1. The program is accredited by the American Dental Association, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Post Secondary Accreditation and by the United States Department of Education.
“Dental hygienists make an average of around $300 a day,” said Thomas Neiderer, PCC Dental Hygiene program administrator.
According to CNN Money, dental hygienists are one of the top 10 fastest growing fields. U.S. News& World Report lists dental hygienists as number 10 in the 100 best jobs. Employment opportunities include working as a licensed dental hygienist in dental offices, public clinics, schools, industry, and research and community health.
In order to be considered for acceptance into the Dental Hygiene program, applicants must submit a complete application packet to the Health Sciences Division at the CEC in a sealed envelope. Applications can be found at www.pasadena.edu/health-sciences/dental-hygiene.
