News: Men'S Soccer Settles for 1-1 Tie V. La Mission
In its first two matches of the 2012 season, the Pasadena City College men's soccer team has controlled the offensive tempo. Unfortunately for the Lancers, they have little to show for it. PCC remains winless at 0-1-1 after posting a 1-1 non-conference tie against Los Angeles Mission College Tuesday at Robinson Stadium. The Lancers trailed 1-0 at halftime before finally getting on the board with a goal in the 55th minute. Zachary Larson, the team's top frosh newcomer, scored his second goal in as many matches, taking a pass from Irving Rosales and sending it into the lower right corner of the net. While Rosales and Larson pressed the offensive attack for the Lancers, PCC couldn't generate a high quality scoring chance. Mission goalie Elmer Avilar made seven saves while PCC goalie Luis Hernandez had three saves. On Friday, Sept. 7, the Lancers travel to face Southwestern College in Chula Vista.
