News: Three Lancers Softball Players Named All-SCC

Sophomore utility player Audrey Serna, sophomore catcher Allison Lacey, and freshman second baseman Justine Zavala were the Pasadena City College selections on the 2014 All-South Coast Conference Second Team. No Lancers were picked to the First Team.

Serna was the team's leading hitter in both 2013 and '14 and earned her second straight pick to the All-SCC team. Serna (Arroyo High) batted .486 with five doubles in conference games.

Lacey (Crescenta Valley High) batted just .254 in conference with 11 RBI, but her outstanding defense at the catcher position and her overall team-leading 31 RBI and .375 average impressed SCC coaches. Zavala (Los Altos High) emerged as the team's regular second baseman and went on to bat .365 in SCC games with 10 RBI.

The three players were guided by first-year PCC head coach Monica Tantlinger.
