News: Women's Track Runs Season-Best 47.60 Relay At CSLA Meet
The Pasadena City College women's track and field team is in preparation mode for the upcoming South Coast Conference Championships. The Lancers are among the state leaders in a slew of events and expect to be a force in the 4x100 meter relay. At the Cal State Los Angeles Invitational April 5-6, PCC won the event with a season-best 47.60 mark, good enough for No. 5 currently among state community colleges.
The Lancers foursome of Breanna Clark, Omhunique Browne, Sophia Amodia and Taylor Matthews beat several 4-year university squads and upset West Los Angeles College, the region's leader (47.57 at an earlier meet) at CSLA.
PCC is represented on the state top 10 in nine different events, led by Browne's state best mark in the 200 meters.
