News: Women's Volleyball Shaky Sweep Over ELAC

Still reeling a bit from its upset defeat v. Mt. San Antonio on October 16, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team rebounded with a sweep over host East Los Angeles Friday night. The Lancers had to go extra points in the first two sets as they fought off the Huskies, 26-24, 26-24, 25-18.

PCC improved to 6-8 overall and 4-1 in the South Coast Conference while ELAC fell to 3-11 and 2-3.

Nora To'omalatai scored 15 kills while Thula Parks contributed 12 kills, nine digs and two aces. Setter Tiffany Roesler added 35 assists, 10 digs and three aces. Briana Hilton chipped in eight kills. PCC again played without top middle blocker Kendra Logan, who is expected back in the lineup this week.

On Wednesday, October 23, the Lancers host Cerritos in a 6 p.m. conference match at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
