Yu, Men's Basketball Puts Scare Into State No. 4 ELAC

The state No. 4-ranked East Los Angeles College men's basketball team got all it could handle from visiting Pasadena City College Friday night. The Lancers traded baskets with the Huskies for most of the 40 minutes but their bid for an upset ended with four ELAC free throws in the final 1:02 that sent PCC to a 75-71, South Coast Conference North Division defeat.

Robinson Sparks Men's Cagers In OT Win Over LATT

Reserve guard Corey Robinson scored 11 of his 12 points in overtime to help the Pasadena City College men's basketball team snap a 10-game losing streak in an 84-78 victory over Los Angeles Trade Tech Friday. The South Coast Conference North Division game was part of Coaches vs. Cancer Night at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

PCC Men's Hoops Host Coaches v. Cancer Night Friday, Feb. 5

The Pasadena City College men's baskeball team hosts Los Angeles Trade Tech Friday on Coaches vs. Cancer Night at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. Donations to the American Cancer Society will be accepted throughout the evening and a brief ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the Lancers women's game preceeding the warm-up for the men's game. Tip-off is 7 p.m. The women's game starts at 5 p.m.

Low Scoring Woes For Men's Hoops

For the sixth time in the last eight games, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team failed to reach 50 points. The Lancers have lost all six of those contests and are mired in a 1-8 slump including Friday's 62-49 defeat against Los Angeles Harbor in a South Coast Conference crossover game at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

After two sparkling seasons at Pasadena City College, men's basketball center Faruk Oyalade signed his scholarship letter of intent Tuesday to attend and play at the University of Antelope Valley (Lancaster). The 6-foot-7 incoming junior will play for the NAIA Pioneers in their inaugural season of basketball in 2015-16.
