Must Win Accomplished by Women's Basketball Over LA Trade Tech

For the past 14 straight seasons, the successful Pasadena City College women's basketball team has earned a spot in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. At their peak, the Lancers had a seven-season period from 2003-2010 when they advanced to the CCCAA State Championship tournament each year. In 2009, PCC won its first state title in all women's sports.

WBB's Espinoza Reaches 800 Points In MSAC Defeat

Sophomore guard Judith Espinoza became just the 11th Pasadena City College women's basketball player to reach 800 points in a career Wednesday, but her 24 points were far from enough at South region No. 2-ranked Mt. San Antonio in a 96-71 Lancers' loss.

Unranked PCC Women's Hoops Play No. 7-Rated ELAC Tough In Loss

After dropping out of this week's SoCal Top 15 rankings, the Pasadena City College women's basketball team was determined to take down No. 7 East Los Angeles Wednesday. The Lancers and Huskies locked up in a defensive battle but ELAC prevailed, 51-47, in the South Coast Conference North Division contest at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Women's BB Guard Espinoza Reaches 750 Points Mark

Sophomore point guard Judith Espinoza passed Pasadena City College Sports Hall of Famer Tiana Sanders (1998-99) into 16th place on the Lancers all-time scoring list. Espinoza is now at 750 points in her career.

Women's Cagers Handed SCC North-Opening Loss By LATT

Host Los Angeles Trade Tech stopped an 11-game series losing streak v. the Pasadena City College women's basketball team Wednesday, handing the Lancers a 72-65 defeat in the South Coast Conference North Division opener for both teams.

Women's Basketball Sets New HP Gym Low Score

Cerritos College limited the Pasadena City College women's basketball team to its lowest score in Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium history in defeating the Lancers, 67-40, Friday night in a South Coast Conference crossover game. The gym opened its doors in the 1999-2000 season.

Late 3s Help Women's Basketball Score 65-64 Win Over ECC

Ranked No. 12 in the latest Southern California rankings, the Pasadena City College women's basketball team found itself trailing late at El Camino College in a South Coast Conference crossover game Wednesday. The Lancers, though, rediscovered their range from the 3-point circle in edging the Warriors, 65-64.

Women's Basketball Finds Its Offense In 99-45 Win Over LAHC

After a series of defensive, low-scoring games, the Pasadena City College women's basketball team finally was able to run the floor with a more up-tempo style Friday night. The Lancers snapped a 3-game losing streak by just missing the century mark in a 99-45 rout over Los Angeles Harbor in a South Coast Conference crossover game at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Women's Basketball Suffers Rare Tournament Elimination

When the Pasadena City College women's basketball team lost two straight games at the annual San Jose City Lady Jaguar Invitational Dec. 27-28, it was truly an unusual finish for the Lancers. It marked the first time since Nov. 15-16, 2001 that a PCC team did not advance to the final day of a tourney.

Women's Cagers Finish 3rd At Desert Winter Classic

Ranked No. 13 in the latest state poll, the Pasadena City College women's basketball team has not fared as well against the higher rated squads. While PCC took third place at the College of the Desert Winter Classic December 17-19, the team's loss came against No. 2-ranked Mt. San Jacinto, 71-54, in the semifinals.

The Pasadena City College women's basketball team played some of the toughest competition in the state in going 2-2 and taking sixth place at the 16-team, College of the Sequoias 39th Gilcrest Invitational Tournament held December 3-6.

The Pasadena City College women's basketball team sank 24 baskets from beyond the 3-point arc during its three tourney games as the Lancers took third place at the Glendale Lady Vaquero Shootout November 19-21. After seven games, PCC leads the region and is second in the state in 3-point baskets with 55.

Women's Basketball Lets Big Lead Slip Away, LBCC Wins Honda Title

Ahead by 16 points early in the third quarter Sunday, the Pasadena City College women's basketball team appeared to be on its way to the 2nd Honda of Pasadena title. Instead, Long Beach City College made a furious rally and took the championship away from the host Lancers with a 62-57 victory at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Women's Cagers Dominate Imperial Valley In Honda Classic Opener

The first look at home of the 2015-16 Lancers by Pasadena City College women's basketball fans was a fun one as it brought back memories of the team's up-tempo style that helped the program make seven straight CCCAA State Tournament apperances from 2004-2010. PCC opened its 2nd Honda of Pasadena Classic tourney with an 84-38 rout over Imperial Valley at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Women's Basketball Hosts 2nd Honda of Pasadena Classic Nov. 13-15

The Pasadena City College women's basketball team hosts the 2nd Honda of Pasadena Classic tournament this Friday-Sunday, Nov. 13-15 at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. The Lancers are one of eight teams participating along with College of the Desert, College of the Sequoias, LA Southwest, Pierce, Imperial Valley, MiraCosta, and Long Beach City College.
