Football Can't Catch Up To Ventura, 50-19

Saturday night started well for the host Pasadena City College football team in its SCFA National Northern Conference game against SoCal No. 5-rated Ventura. Quarterback Trevor Hampton completed the contest's opening drive with an 11-yard touchdown pass to running back Zander Anding. The play capped a 75-yard series that saw Hampton connect on all six of his attempts and give PCC a 7-0 lead.

Offense Produces, But Football Upset By East LA, 38-30

Forty years ago, the Pasadena City College football team saw a perfect season end against perhaps East Los Angeles College's greatest team in 1974. The Huskies and Lancers played in a playoff bowl game that finished in a 14-14 tie, but with no overtime rules, ELAC advanced due to having the most yards of total offense while PCC's magical season came to a close.

Football Wins Yards Battle, But Cerritos Takes Game, 27-17

Freshman quarterback Dejon Williams passed for 354 yards and the Pasadena City College football team offense outgained opponent Cerritos College in total yards, 456-375, in their SCFA National Northern Conference encounter Saturday night. However, the Lancers couldn't overcome five turnovers and a blocked punt and fell to the SoCal No. 7-rated Falcons, 27-17, at Robinson Stadium.

For the second consecutive week, a Pasadena City College football player received SCFA National Northern Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors. Freshman linebacker Jalyn Williams earned week No. 4 honors with his performance during the Lancers' 20-12 conference-opening victory on September 27.

The home fans finally had something to cheer about Saturday. The Pasadena City College football team won for the first time at Robinson Stadium since 2011 by posting a 19-7, SCFA non-conference victory over Los Angeles Harbor.

(El Cajon) -- A 34-yard field goal by Brendon Chitura with just 2:20 left sent the Pasadena City College football team to a 17-14 loss against host Grossmont in a SCFA non-conference game Saturday afternoon. The Lancers dropped to 0-2 on the season.
