Walk-Off Weekend For Softball, 3-1 At SBCC Tourney

The Pasadena City College softball team twice won games on walk-off hits and finished 3-1 at the Santa Barbara City College Tournament held March 28-29. The Lancers upped their record to 17-14 overall and in doing so now have the most victories by a PCC team in six years.

PCC Softball's Riker-Sloan Earns State Player of Week Honor

Pasadena City College softball team freshman catcher Holly Riker-Sloan was named 3CFCA State Player of the Week after her record-setting performance during the week of March 9-15. She is the first Lancers player to ever receive the honor.

Softball Moves Into 4th Place In SCC

The Pasadena City College softball team jumped into fourth place by itself in the South Coast Conference Tuesday thanks to a 5-3 victory over East Los Angeles at Robinson Park. It was the Lancers' second straight conference win and improved the team's overall record to 14-12 and SCC mark to 5-8.

Down To Final Out, Softball Pulls Out Win At LAHC, 14-9

Centerfielder Mariah Quintana turned a likely defeat into a South Coast Conference victory for the Pasadena City College softball team Tuesday. With the Lancers down to their final out, Quintana's 2-RBI double plated the tying and winning runs as PCC went on to defeat host Los Angeles Harbor College, 14-9.

Softball Lets Mt. SAC Game Slip Away

The Pasadena City College softball team led 3-0 after three innings against South Coast Conference leader and state No. 4-ranked Mt. San Antonio College Tuesday but the Lancers couldn't keep the Mounties from scoring 10 unanswered runs in a 10-3 loss at Robinson Park.

Riker-Sloan Breaks PCC Single-Season HR Mark

It took just 21 games for Pasadena City College softball team freshman catcher Holly Riker-Sloan to become the Lancers' single-season home run leader. Riker-Sloan belted two towering home runs over the left-center fence Thursday to give her now eight round-trippers as she helped PCC mercy Long Beach City College, 12-4, in five innings. The South Coast Conference game was played at Robinson Park.

Softball Loses Slugfest v. Cerritos

By the end of the fourth inning Thursday, Pasadena City College catcher Holly Riker-Sloan had driven in five runs. By the top of the fifth, Cerritos shortstop Jenny Collazo surpassed her with six RBI on her way to driving in eight runs in the Falcons' 13-5 victory over the Lancers at Robinson Park. The South Coast Conference game went all seven innings and lasted two hours, 35 minutes as the teams combined for 27 hits.

Trailing 6-0 and facing the prospect of falling into last place in the South Coast Conference, the Pasadena City College softball team rallied all the way back to beat El Camino College-Compton Center, 7-6, Tuesday at Robinson Park.

Riker-Sloan Homer Helps Softball Enter SCC Win Column

Nothing will be easy in the South Coast Conference this season for the Pasadena City College softball team. On Wednesday, the Lancers rallied from a 3-0 first-inning deficit and catcher Holly Riker-Sloan slugged a tie-breaking home run in the bottom of the fourth in a 6-5 victory over Los Angeles Harbor College at Robinson Park.

The Pasadena City College softball team flexed its muscles and pounded out 11 hits in an 8-0, 5-inning mercy rule win over Pierce Friday at Robinson Park. The Lancers snapped a 5-game losing streak and improved to 9-5.

The Pasadena City College softball team remains perfect in 2015 at 7-0 after defeating Moopark, 6-3, in the Lancers' home opener at Robinson Park Tuesday. PCC trailed 3-2 before rallying for three runs in the bottom of the fifth to ignite the win.
