PCC Women's Swim Breaks 11-Year Slump v. Mt. SAC

In 2003, the Pasadena City College women's swim team won its only South Coast Conference team championship in the sport. Since that time, while different schools have won the title, Mt. San Antonio has been a consistent hurdle for the Lancers. But on opening day of the SCC dual season Friday, host PCC broke an 11-year streak of losses to the Mounties and swept a double dual over Mt. SAC, 154-117, and Cerritos, 175-96.

Men's Swimmer Esmaeilian Excels At Mt. SAC Invitational

Returning this season as the top freestyler on the Pasadena City College men's swim team, sophomore Mohammad Esmaeilian showed his worth at the Mt. SAC Invitational Feb. 20-21.

Women's Swim Take 2nd At Mt. SAC Invitational

Behind seven event victories, the Pasadena City College women's swim team placed a best-ever second place at the annual Mt. SAC Invitational held February 20-21 in Walnut. Sierra from Northern California finished ahead of PCC out of 14 scoring colleges participating to capture the team title.

PCC Swimmers Dive Into 2015 Season

A season after watching its first state individual champion in Shannon Cheung, the Pasadena City College women's swim team hopes another one will emerge in 2015. Letterman Connie Peng is one who could challenge as she led the 12-women team during the season-opening SCC Pentathlon meet held February 13 at Rio Hondo College.

Former PCC Swimmer Cheung Is '14 CCCAA Scholar Athlete

Shannon Cheung, the first women's individual state swimming champion ever at Pasadena City College, earned one more award for the college in being selected to the 2014 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Scholar Athlete Honor Roll.

PCC's Shannon Cheung Makes UCLA Swim Roster

Shannon Cheung, a two-time CCCAA state champion for Pasadena City College, has made the UCLA women's swim team roster as a walk-on. Cheung participated in her first 4-year university meet in the Bruins' dual meet victory over Washington State on October 10 at UCLA.
