Volleyball Places 4 On All-SCC Team

Sophomore middle blocker Kendra Logan and second-year outside hitter/opposite Lahiz Longobardi each became two-time All-South Coast Conference selections as part of four Pasadena City College players making the 2015 team.

Women's Volleyball Season Ends In Playoff Loss

Kari Post saw her debut season as Pasadena City College women's volleyball head coach conclude Saturday as the No. 17-seeded Lancers were knocked out of the SoCal Regional playoffs by nemesis and 16th seed Mt. San Antonio, 25-15, 25-23, 25-19, in a play-in round road match.

Women's Volleyball Makes Postseason, 17 seed At 16 Mt. SAC Saturday

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team, one of only two teams to defeat the South's No. 1 seed Santa Barbara City College, has earned the No. 17 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Lancers take part in a play-in round on Saturday, Nov. 21 at South Coast Conference rival and No. 16 seed Mt. San Antonio. The match begins at 7 p.m.

Despite 3-Set Loss, Women's Volleyball Could Make Postseason

Up until a week ago, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team figured its postseason hopes were gone. But after learning that the state had approved two additional seeds to create a Southern California Regional play-in round for the No. 15-18 spots, the Lancers may sneak into the field.

Cabarong's Big Kill Night Gives Women's VB Sweep Over LBCC

Kirsten Cabarong, a sophomore transfer outside hitter, gave the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team something it had lacked for most of the season on Tuesday--a go-to attacker. Cabarong delivered a team season-high 21 kills as the Lancers swept Long Beach City, 25-16, 25-12, 25-16, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

El Camino Sweeps Volleyball, PCC Playoff Hopes Fading

After being swept by state No. 6-ranked and South Coast Conference first-place El Camino College Wednesday evening, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team is now in a complete must-win and even must-sweep situation as the 2015 regular season enters its final few weeks.

Women's Volleyball Slips In SCC Race

While the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team recorded a sweep over Los Angeles Trade Tech Wednesday, the Lancers have their work cut out for them in a quest for a SoCal playoff seed. PCC fell to fourth in the South Coast Conference standings after losses to first-place El Camino (four sets) on Tuesday and to second-place Mt. San Antonio (three sets) on October 23.

Women's Volleyball Returns To Form In ELAC Sweep

During Wednesday's South Coast Conference match against visiting East Los Angeles College, Pasadena City College women's volleyball team middle blocker Kendra Logan wore a pink band on her left wrist with the inscription "Show Up." The reference was something first-year head coach Kari Post had been preaching to her players in the past week since the state No. 23-ranked Lancers played poorly in a loss to unranked Cerritos on October 14.

Cerritos Upsets No. 19-Ranked Women's Volleyball

Although still early in South Coast Conference play, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team suffered a major setback Wednesday night as unranked Cerritos College swept the state No. 19-ranked Lancers, 25-20, 25-20, 25-18, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Lights Go Out On SCC First-Place Volleyball Match

With the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team tied with state No. 6-ranked El Camino 1-1 in sets, the Warriors' gym went dark. In fact, the entire ECC campus suffered a power failure as the match for first place in the South Coast Conference had to be postponed with ECC leading 5-2 in the third set.

Women's Volleyball Sweeps Harbor

It is an exciting time for the state No. 21-ranked Pasadena City College women's volleyball team. The Lancers swept Los Angeles Harbor, 25-7, 25-7, 25-9, Wednesday night in a South Coast Conference match at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. PCC (7-3 overall, 2-0 in conference) later learned that one of the teams it had beat a few weeks ago, No. 4-ranked Santa Barbara City College, had knocked off the state's No. 1-ranked and previously undefeated Pierce.

Women's Volleyball Starts SCC On Right Foot

The state No. 23-ranked Pasadena City College women's volleyball team began South Coast Conference play Friday night and had an easy time in defeating host Los Angeles Trade Tech, 25-14, 25-16, 25-6 in a match that lasted just 45 minutes.

Women's Volleyball Vaults On To State Top 25 With Upset Over SBCC

By upsetting previously state No. 4-ranked Santa Barbara City College on Friday, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team made a leap on to the CCCWVCA State Top 25 rankings released Monday. The Lancers 4-set win over the Vaqueros was followed by a 5-set thriller loss to San Diego Mesa and a 4-set defeat v. Bakersfield, both teams that are also on the Top 25.

Hodges Blocking Stands Out For Volleyball At Orange Coast Quad

A two-sport student-athlete in her second season at Pasadena City College, Lancers' women's volleyball/basketball player Chy'Annea Hodges has often been a sparkplug for her teams. Hodges' blocking stood out as middle blocker Friday when PCC picked up two wins in two matches at the Orange Coast Quad tournament.

Women's Volleyball Can't Hold Off Ventura, Lose In 5 Sets

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team rallied from a set down and won sets 2 and 3 with wild comebacks to take a 2-1 lead Wednesday night against Ventura. The momentum gained quickly fizzled for the Lancers as the Pirates roared back and scored a 5-set victory over the Lancers, 25-22, 24-26, 22-25, 25-19, 15-8, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

The host Pasadena City College women's volleyball team used all-around consistent play to sweep Citrus, 25-18, 26-24, 25-13, Wednesday night in a non-conference match at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Women's VB Give Coach Post Win In Debut, Outlasts MSJC In 5

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team opened the 2015 season by giving Kari Post her first head coaching victory in a grueling, 5-set triumph over Mt. San Jacinto Wednesday night before a lively crowd at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. PCC won, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-11.
