Educational Background

Jamie Pedrini received her Master of Music and Bachelor of Music from the Sheperd School of Music, Rice University where she studied with Mr. Albert Tipton. She attended the Aspen School of Music and has performed in Master Classes with Julius Baker, Hean-Pierre Rampal and Louis Moyse.


Ms. Pedrini is an active freelance flutist in the greater Los Angeles area. She currently holds principal positions with the Pasadena Pops, California Philharmonic and the Laguna Pageant of the Masters Orchestra, She is a member of the Santa Barbara Symphony, South Bay Symphony, Orange County Master Chorale, Los Angeles Woodwind Quintet and Composers Ensemble Los Angeles. She appears on many CDs and has recorded with the Houston, Santa Barbara, Pacific and the California Philharmonic orchestras. She is on faulty at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and Pasadena City College, where she teaches privately and is the instructor for the Woodwind Ensemble class.

Philosophy on Music and Music Education

Ms. Pedrini has had the desire to teach as long as she can remember. It is important to her to pass on what she has learned in a nurturing way and she greatly values the teacher/student relationship.


Ms. Pedrini is active in the Music Teachers Association of California, Chamber Music America, National Flute Association and is a member of the Professional Musician''s Association and was awarded Who''s Who in Music
