After working in the computer industry for over thirty years, Richard returned to graduate school to pursue his interests in genomics, mathematics, and computer technology. He completed his Master's Degree in Biomathematics from UCLA School of Medicine in 2004. He now teaches classes and workshops in bioinformatics and computational biology. He also provides consulting services for biotechnology research companies and institutions. Richard's hobbies include photography, astronomy, backpacking, and following UCLA football. He also plays racquetball regularly.
