Certified Nursing Assisting (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant course trains students in the basic principles of nursing, including the role of the certified nurse assistant on a health care team. Students learn basic anatomy and medical terminology, ethics and communication, and basic procedural skills. Students learn to observe and provide personal care to patients and provide assistance to other health care personnel in hospitals and in extended care and long-term care facilities.
All students must apply for admission to PCC in Building L113, before attempting to register for any class. All classes are filled on a first come, first served basis as determined by student priority.
Registered students will be notified by email regarding a mandatory orientation before classes begin. Forms for the health requirements and fingerprinting will be distributed at orientation along with other pertinent information and dealine submission dates.
