The licensed vocational nurse is prepared to assist the physician and registered nurse in the care of the sick, in prevention of disease, and in the rehabilitation of the sick and injured. Licensed vocational nurses work in a variety of settings: long-term health care, doctors' offices and acute-care hospitals.

The program requires two semesters and two intercessions, for a total of 12 months. PCC uses more than 25 health care facilities as well as community agencies in the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles to provide excellent clinical learning experiences for students.
