Girls' Science Day
Girls' Science Day is held on the first Saturday of March from approximately 9 am to noon at PCC. It is free for all 6th through 8th grade girls in the Pasadena Unified School District, and bus transportation is available from certain local schools. Information and registration forms are distributed to science teachers prior to the event. When space permits, walk-in registration on the day of the event is encouraged.
The day begins with the girls receiving commemorative T-shirts and hearing from guest speakers. The girls then participate in two hour-long workshops with a snack break between them. The life & physical science workshops are taught by volunteer PCC professors, students and alumni.
