Enjoy this photo gallery of this year's event where the young women were greeted with bright purple Girls' Science Day T-shirts and calculators. Dr. Jackie Jacobs welcomed them to the campus and Dr. Ayanna Howard of JPL delivered an exciting and cutting edge discussion about Mars exploration.
The girls got to make slime from chemical compounds and explore the world of rocket science.
By the end of the day girls signed each others' T-shirts and went away glowing from the experiences they clearly enjoyed.
