Both SLPs and SLPAs share in common the need and licensing requirement for continuing education. Our profession of Speech-Language Pathology continues to grow and expand with new information each and every day. SLPs must have 24 hours of continuing education for every two-year license renewal period, and SLPAs must have 12 hours of continuing education every two-year period.
