Nathan developed an interest in
Design while working as a field ecologist
in Africa between 1997 and 1999.
There he helped to design and construct
the Jua Kalie wildlife center, a
landmark building in Nairobi, Kenya.
Shortly after, Nathan returned to
Los Angeles to earn a degree in Environmental
Design at the Art Center College
of Design. In his latter years he
simultaneously cultivated an interest
in architecture and film-making which
culminated in a thesis project exploring
ways of describing the build environment
through film. Since graduating, Nathan
has directed projects for such clients
as Audi, Sony, and Volkswagen as
well as had work displayed in the
Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum
of Architecture and Design, and the
Pacific Design Center. He is currently
concluding work on a documentary
about the architect Michele Saee
titled " Instances of Space".
