Keeping a Sketchbook

Like all writers and artists, architects should keep a sketchbook with them to record their thoughts, ideas, and drawings throughout the day.  Getting into the habit of sketching is part of becoming an architect.  You may use these sketches for anything from helping you recall a building's detail to sparking a major new concept in a project you have in mind.  Studying the sketchbooks of great artists and architects can also be fascinating.
